No! RFT Sheds is proudly a family owned and locally operated business. We do not have the quotas, and restrictions, that a franchise does or hide behind a brand name, and take full responsibility for each project. By choosing to build with RFT Sheds, you deal directly with the owner, you won’t be just be a name on a Manilla folder, in a large franchise filing cabinet.
Do You Organise Council Approval?
Yes! We take all the building approval process stress of your hands! At RFT Sheds, we think the council process is expensive enough, so unlike other companies, we don’t charge any extra.
Can I Just Buy The Shed Or Patio Kit?
Sure, no problem. We supply kits that can be fully customised to your exact requirements. All kits come with engineering plans, architectural drawings, specifications, & details step-by-step assembly instructions.
What Are Your Manufacture & Delivery Times?
As every building is designed from scratch, we don't hold any stock. The manufacture time varies depending on the type of structure, your location, and the time of year. For example, in the lead up to Christmas things can get busy and times can push out, so make sure you act quickly if the end of the calendar year is approaching. Generally, we allow 1 – 3 weeks for council approval to be processed, and another 4-6 weeks until your project is fully completed.
Will I Need To Sign A Contract?
Yes, a written contract is a legal requirement, for any work that is over $3300, under the Qld Building & Construction Commission Act. This document protects both the customer and the supplier, and provides full peace of mind.
Can I Personalise My Shed?
Yes! Extras are endless, and we will work with you to design a purpose built structure. For instance, mezzanine floors, larger windows and electric roller doors.

No, standard size sheds aren’t necessarily cheaper. It all depends on the materials used, and your exact specifications. RFT Sheds provides a free custom design service to ensure that you are getting the best possible outcome for your requirements.
Will My Build Have The Appropriate Cyclone Rating?
Of course! We will use your exact location details to ensure that you have the correct wind rating. Be aware when checking comparable quotes, that the cyclone ratings match, as there can be a considerable price difference.
I Found A Good Price On Ebay, Will You Match It?
